Brewing & Production
We reuse and repurpose materials throughout the brewing process:
- Spent grain, hops, yeast and filter sheets are composted locally
- Grain bags are reused by staff and partners
- Hop boxes are reused to protect palletized cans
- Broken pallets are rebuilt and reused
Packaging & Materials
Our packaging choices reduce waste and improve efficiency:
- Aluminum cans are 100% recyclable
- Aluminum cans are lighter than glass, reducing shipping weight and fuel use
- Tap handles are made from reclaimed ash hardwood
- Shipping materials are reused whenever possible

Water & Energy Use
Designed to reduce water, energy and process waste:
- Hot liquor tank reuses heat-exchanged water for the next brew
- Cold liquor tank uses 38°F water instead of standard city supply
- High-efficiency Cool Fit glycol piping reduces chiller load
- Steam-powered kettles improve efficiency over natural gas systems
